High quality granules are very important as food in the modern aquarium industry.
There are some important benefits for granules against flake food.
In granules it is much easier to add on specific fats by spraying on.
So the extra portion of fat brings the fishes more energy. This is than the reason why amino acids are not needed for energy use and can go to the growing needs especially for younger fishes. So the high content of amino acids goes direct into the growing rates.
By extrudation of granules the starch in the food is much easier to digest. So in this result it is possible to reduce the amount of food to receive even better results than with standard food flakes.
With a high quality granules food you also save cost.
Aquarium water will not be poluted so much by granules than by other foods. Granules last longer in water than flakes.
How will your fishes accept such granules? If your fishes have never seen granules before it will take time to teach them to accept this kind of new food.
Larger groups of fishes will accept much easier than single pairs or single fishes.
So start feeding early in the morning with this new food first. Only small amount.
If they do not accept, do not give up, go further on feeding.

Always be aware that you have a high quality fish food in hands. Do not compare with starch puffed foods with low weight.
Compare always the weight of dried foods to each other. High quality food is heavy. Low quality food is not heavy. So please compare.
A 450 ml can could supply a much better and heavier food than a 1000 ml can.
